An executive, producer, writer, personality & host, Elise has worked with many of California’s top cannabis companies and revolutionary founders. Since 2016, Elise has gained experience across all sides of the supply chain, helping brands to strategize, launch, pivot and survive in the nascent and tumultuous industry. In 2018 Elise joined Doc Green’s to lead the rebrand of the Berkeley based legacy company which successfully relaunched in 2019. Elise is currently Chief Marketing Officer.
A pioneer of cannabis events, Elise has created and produced various one-of-a-kind, cutting edge experiences combining cannabis with other elements such as music, art, food and fashion. Notable events include the NorCal CannaCuisne Gala (2017), Cannabis Now x Willie’s Reserve Holiday Session (2018), High Society (2019) and The 215 Compassion Benefit Last Hurrah (2020).
One of the OG “influencers,” Elise judged her first Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam in 2012, and continued to judge many categories in many Cups for High Times over the years in California. In 2019, Elise judged concentrates and the best social clubs in Barcelona for the Inaugural Terp Tower Invitational; and since 2018, Elise has been proud to judge edibles for The Emerald Cup.
A passionate activist and personality, Elise has been seen on VICELAND, spoken at SXSW, written and been quoted in various articles, published in two books, and had her work, face, and puffs of smoke appear in Reuter’s, The New York Times, Forbes, PBS, The Atlantic, even the official D.A.R.E website and many more media outlets.
As Elise continues to evolve with the movement, she remains committed to activism focused on womxn & minority empowerment, social justice; and the mission to normalize cannabis and all those who use it.
Elise lives in Marin County, CA with her one eyed yorkie, Ms Axlrose. When she’s not working, you can catch her fire or LED hula hoop dancing on her IG Stories. @elisemcroberts

In 2018 it was my literal job to learn everything I could about hash, specifically live rosin because I was leading the rebrand of Berkeley Type 6 Legacy Manufacturers @docgreensofficial 💜 To be a great CMO I needed to know our processes, products, consumers and category better than everyone else so that I could communicate on our behalf (among other leadership and marketing duties). 🤓

Back then there wasn’t a lot of information on solventless extraction online - @thedankduchess published the first piece I found. I reached out to legends like @nikka__t and @verzura2 to do my own interviews. I sought out all the knowledge I could find about this segment of concentrates. You KNOW I tasted and tested every brand and flavor I could get my paws on during that journey in the name of R&D.

We launched in 2019 at @theemeraldcup *That was my 2nd year as an edibles judge (for the most prestigious competition in our industry!)- a super high honor which I earned after having been an edibles judge for @hightimesmagazine since 2012.

Since then and while working for Doc Green’s I taught and trained hundreds of people on solventless concentrates- budtenders, media, industry insiders, OG’s and new consumers- because “marketing” is essentially education when it comes to this type of plant medicine. I feel so blessed to have been trusted to give so many people their first dab. I loved every minute of my work. I still love sharing the knowledge on concentrates and consider myself an ambassador of the rosin revolution for life 💎❤️🔥💎

I’m beyond honored to return as a judge for this prestigious competition and event which truly holds a very special space in my heart & soul. To give some insight as to why, this post is my lil Emerald Cup Memory Lane (pt 1) ☺️

✨ 2017 I was just a hardcore fan out there loving & trying to capture every moment so I could share the experience w/my audience.

✨ 2018 I joined the team of Edibles Judges - a real honor and seriously tough category to judge! That year I was also hired by Civilized to produce content and do interviews on site at the event.

✨ 2019 I judged edibles again. A much bigger feat accomplished was launching @docgreensofficial at The Cup. We were sponsors, had a huge booth across from Area 101 and did our very 1st sales of the Prop 64 era at there (bfd for a legacy co)! I hired my dream team to bring a vision to life and being able share it with our community at the all our favorite event just felt so perfect.

✨ 2020 I judged edibles for my 3rd year (and more beverages than ever in my life!). We celebrated with a virtual ceremony in 2021 and there was a small in person event in LA- which of course I couldn’t miss (and I didn’t;).

This past December’s Emerald Cup Harvest Ball was yet again, my FAVE event of the year. It was just SO amazing to be back with everyone in Santa Rosa. That’s really what it’s about for me- the people- our community, our CULTURE 🙌 Ok it’s about the w33d too 😜😎
